Your Instructor
Your instructor, Bob Weiss,
is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), and
provides consulting services for small businesses
and residential customers in the areas of computer support and repair, computer
networking, network and Internet security, web design and web hosting.
Community Education
Since 2002 he has taught
evening adult education classes in Web Design and Computer Security for the
Community Education programs of the Stillwater School District 834. In
2004, he began teaching at South
Washington School District. In 2005 he began teaching a broad range of
computer classes for the Mahtomedi program, including Computer Basics, Internet
and E-mail, MS Word Intro and Intermediate, MS Excel Intro, MS Works, and
Digital Camera Applications.
In 1989-1990, he taught
the course Sales for the Non-Sales Professional for the Anoka-Hennepin Community
Education Program.
Bob has over fifteen years of telecommunications and eight years of data
communications experience with companies like LCI International, USWest,
Teligent, and Qwest Communications.
Corporate Training

Bob has worked in a corporate IT training project for Keane, Inc, a
global IT consulting and outsourcing company, with a Fortune 500 client
company in the freight forwarding business.

While at USWest and
Qwest he was a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data, Internet and networking
products and solutions, and provided ad-hoc small group training, and
individual support for members of my sales support team.

While at Teligent,
he provided New Hire, Product, Voice and Data Technology, and Order
Implementation Process training for sales teams in Minneapolis, Kansas City,
and St Louis.

At Heartland
Communications, he provided training for independent dealers in the areas of
Merchandising and Display, Product Activation and Usage, and Paging and
Cellular Technology and Coverage Area.

At LCI
International, he provided training to independent agents and telecom
interconnects on Products, Services, Pricing, and Features of our long
distance voice and data products.

At American Paging,
he delivered New Hire, Product, and Wireless Technology training to branch
sales personnel. He also developed a retail product for the company, and
designed the product merchandising and sales support tools and methodology.
He trained the independent dealers and store managers in the areas of
Merchandising and Display, Product Activation and Usage, and Paging
Technology and Coverage Area. Later he worked with corporate marketing on a
joint marketing venture between American Paging, SkyTel, and Northwest
Airlines. He traveled to NWA hubs and trained NWA personnel on
Merchandising and Display, Product Activation and Usage, and Paging
Technology and Coverage Area.
